Welcome to the latest update for PGC Scale Models.

April 2012

Sad News
It is with sadness that I write that we have had the passing of the founding drive of PGC. My father George (the G in PGC) lost his battle with cancer on the 28th of March. Not only as a father, but his engineering experience saw a lot of those hard to do projects in the parts and components for a lot of modeling projects seemed simply another challenge that he took on and perfected. He will be sadly missed by a lot of people that knew him within the hobby.

Exhibitions
Over the past 7 years we have been fortunate that John and Bonita at Horizon Hobbies has attended the Brisbane Show with all of our products for sale. They have been wonderful supporters of our business for many years. We are now wishing to advise that we will be attending the Brisbane Show in our own right. We will have the full range of models available along with some updates on new rollingstock and locomotives. If there is any customers that would like additional numbers of products (particularly paint) please drop me a line before the show and I can make sure we have sufficient for you.
Of course we will have the company of Glenn at Black Diamond Models so please come and introduce yourself.
We will have stock of Caintoad Flats products on behalf of Gary Pysden on our stand at the Brisbane Show.
If there is any items that you need please either contact Gary before the show or myself at the PGC Stand and we will be able to assist.

Product Updates
The R refrigerated Wagon will be the next release for PGC. I am only completing the castings currently however will have some display models at the Brisbane Show.
We have also done considerable work to our CL and CLV kits with a lot of new components to update the kit. We have also made some modifications to the roof that will see it easier to construct.

Steam Locomotives
I have been promising some pictures of the C17 and finally here is some pictures of the completed model. The third picture in the series is the old version that we previously produced. I am hopeful that you can see in the pictures that we have basically rebuilt the locomotive from wheels up with new components across the board. The locomotive is now predominantly constructed by brass etchings with a whitemetal boiler. The tender has a one piece body that can be removed for DCC should you wish to go that way. We have been busy working at the desk and are confident that those customers that have been waiting for their order will have their locomotive in the coming months.

We currently are currently finishing of an amount of RTR Stock for the show. We are endeavouring to have most of the range available in RTR for the show. If there is any particular item that you are after please let me know as there will only be a couple of each one.
I hope this has given you a quick update of what PGC has been up to however if there is any queries that you may have please let me know.

Happy Modelling
